Take a left at Kahle Ln and park in the small parking lot on the corner of Kahle Ln and Hwy 50. The trail-head begins here and meanders through Lam Watah meadows once you cross over a bridge you can go right through the woods or continue through the meadow to Nevada Beach. If you go right you will end up on the far side of the beach. If you go left will complete the loop and will be going back to where you started. Dogs are allowed on the trail so long as they are on a leash. Dogs are aloud on the far left side of the beach. This meadow was a popular Washoe camp site and was used from 500 BC to the end of the 19th century. It’s a great place to watch a sunset! New this coming winter, Shoreline of Tahoe will be opening up a shop across from the meadow for both snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Depending on the snow conditions, we will be offering rentals that you’ll be able to take across the street to use as long a you like on an hourly basis.
