Edgewood Canyon – Van Sickle SP Mountain Bike Loop

If you want to do some climbing followed by a technical descent, this route is for you. You can start from either of the Shoreline of Tahoe stores. The climb up on Edgewood Canyon trail (aka Pony Express) parallels Kingsbury and isn’t technical. Near the end you have a choice, either take the Tahoe Rim Trail up to the Van Sickle Connector trail or continue on to the end of Edgewood, bike on some roads over to the Stagecoach base area and catch the new access trail up to the Tahoe Rim Trail and over to the Van Sickle Connector Trail. The second option is the easier one. If you like technical descents, then you’ll love Van Sickle Connector. It is a new trail with great views of Lake Tahoe and the Stateline area. Shoreline to Nevada Beach Bike Loop

Shoreline to Nevada Beach Bike Loop is a family friendly adventure. Starting at either Shoreline of Tahoe location, make your way up to 207 Kingsbury Grade to Pine Ridge Dr. The bike trail begins at the end of this short road. Wind your way through the mountain side on a paved path on your way to Kingsbury Middle School. Once there, make your way around to the other side where the trail continues. It’s all downhill from here to Nevada Beach. After enjoying some time on the beach, make your way toward camp site 20 where you will find a dirt path through the meadow back to either Shoreline Shop.
