Sierra-at-Tahoe
Sierra-at-Tahoe covers over 2,000 acres with over 2,000 vertical feet. The runs snake through a forest of old growth fir and
lodgepole pines. From the top is a 360 degree view including Lake Tahoe, Mt. Ralston, Pyramid Peak, and more. On a clear day
it’s possible to see Mt. Diablo in the Contra Costa County region of the San Francisco Bay area.
Sierra is a great family resort with something for everyone. For first-timers, the width and varied pitch of Broadway make
for one of the best ‘bunny hills’ around. Once the basics have been grasped, there is a 2.5 mile beginner run from the top of the
mountain back to the main lodge, and the Burton Progression parks are a great place to start out jibbing and jumping. For kids,
there are also themed Adventure Zones scattered through the resort. For those ready for a bit more, there is the
intermediate-to-advanced West Bowl area and a nationally recognized terrain park network and Superpipe. Bumps and off-piste areas
abound off Grandview chair and also in West Bowl. The backcountry gates open up access to Huckleberry Canyon for advanced skiers
and riders.
