Heavenly

Heavenly Mountain Resort is the largest resort in California, boasting 4,800 acres, 3,500 vertical feet, and at 10,067 feet, the highest summit around Lake Tahoe. Ridge Run, an intermediate level run from the top of Sky Express chair, offers unparalleled views of Lake Tahoe. Heavenly also has the largest and most powerful snowmaking system on the west coast, covering 70% of the runs.

Heavenly offers four points of entry. The most easily accessible from the middle of town is the Gondola climbing up from the Heavenly Village, walking distance from the casinos and many motels. The California Base is home to the Heavenly Tram, a high capacity aerial tram with a breathtaking view of Lake Tahoe. Also providing access from the California Base is Gunbarrel chair, running up the famous face – Gunbarrel Run, visible from all around South Lake Tahoe as well as from across the lake. On the Nevada side there are two lodges – Stagecoach and Boulder. Stagecoach has ski-in/ ski-out condominiums and is accessed by an intermediate run. Boulder Lodge is home to one of the 3 ski schools, with access to terrain for all levels.

Heavenly’s ski & snowboard school runs out of the Gondola, California Base, and Boulder Lodge. Daycare is offered only at the California Base for ages 6 weeks through 6 years. Children’s ski programs are for children age 4-13. Children’s snowboard lessons are offered for ages 7-13. Adult ski or snowboard lessons are available for all levels at the three ski school location.
